Veterinary Surgeon (Mixed Animal) - Anglesey
True mixed caseload. 24-hour clinical exposure. Coastal lifestyle with a supportive, experienced team.
Feeling ready for real variety again?
If you became a mixed vet for the diversity, but find yourself doing the same cases on repeat, this could be the reset you have been looking for.
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established mixed practice in Anglesey that has built something many talk about but few genuinely deliver, a true mixed caseload across small animal, farm, and equine, with the support to do it properly.
This is not about filling a rota gap. They are looking for an experienced vet who values autonomy but also wants to be part of a collaborative, down-to-earth team. Someone who enjoys the variety of mixed work and wants to keep developing across species, not be pushed into one area unless they choose to.
You will be working across several branches, giving you exposure to a wide client base and case mix, while being backed by a team that shares knowledge freely and supports each other when it matters most.
Why This Role Is Different
A genuine mixed caseload
You will work across small animal, farm, and equine, with a practice that still invests in all areas rather than drifting toward small animal only.
A team that shares the load
Out of hours is structured and shared fairly, with a rota of one night per week and one weekend in five. You are never carrying it alone.
24-hour large animal and equine service
The practice runs its own emergency service year-round, giving you continuity of care and the chance to follow cases through, not just hand them off.
Experienced, stable colleagues
You will be surrounded by a mix of experienced vets, nurses, and support staff, many with additional skills and a genuine willingness to help each other develop.
A culture that feels human
This is a team that works hard but looks after each other, whether that is clinical support, flexibility where possible, or simply taking time to enjoy the occasional shared break.
Location that actually changes your downtime
Anglesey offers coastal walks, surfing, and access to North Wales landscapes. This is a role where your time outside work genuinely feels like a reset.
