Job Title: Business Development Executive
Location: York (Office based), Full time
Salary: £25,000 gross pa plus % share of team commission
The position - New Customer Acquisition & Re-Activate Lapsed Customers
As we continue to grow and adapt to the digital age, we’ve established a forward-thinking department to capitalise on the power of online platforms and social media. This exciting role is focused on driving B2B growth by cultivating new business relationships, responding to web inquiries, and re-engaging with lapsed clients. You’ll play a key part in expanding our reach both in the UK and internationally, your efforts will include telephone profiling, engaging prospects via social media channels like LinkedIn and Microsoft Teams, and executing marketing activities such as email flyers, newsletters, promotions and video calls.
The Role
- Engage Website Traffic: Establish meaningful connections with visitors to our website, turning interest into opportunity.
- Convert Inquiries: Take responsibility for converting website inquiries into solid business relationships.
- Customer Profiling: Directly communicate with customers to understand their needs, enhancing our understanding of both new and existing clients.
- Reignite Lapsed Accounts: Work on developing business from dormant accounts, re-establishing relationships and uncovering new potential.
- Collaborate with Marketing: Partner with the marketing team to create and optimize resources and campaigns to support business development goals.
Measurement
Your success will be measured based on the following key metrics:
- Growth and engagement of the database of leads and clients
- Quality of profiles developed through direct interaction
- Effectiveness and reach of marketing activities such as email campaigns, newsletters, and promotions
- Successful conversion and follow-through from website enquiries

- Must have the right attitude with the hunger to succeed
- Self-motivated and persistent, able to learn quickly and work under pressure with minimum direction
- Be able to work on own initiative and have a “can do attitude”
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate
