Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant or bar environment, ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
- Assist with food preparation and organisation in the kitchen as required, adhering to food safety standards.
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas, including setting up tables and clearing after service.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring correct billing procedures are followed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
- Provide excellent guest services by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations when appropriate.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Time management skills to ensure timely service delivery during busy periods.
- Knowledge of culinary practices or previous kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and advanced food safety procedures.
