We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and commercially minded Wedding and Corporate Sales Executive to join our Events Team. This exciting role combines sales, business development, event planning and event delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships while helping to create outstanding weddings and events.
The Role
The Wedding and Corporate Sales Executive will play a key role in driving bookings and revenue across Ragley Hall's diverse event portfolio, including weddings, conferences, exhibitions, film, corporate functions and private celebrations.
From the initial enquiry through to event delivery, you will be responsible for building strong client relationships, securing new business opportunities and ensuring weddings and events are planned and executed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Respond to all inbound wedding inquiries and Identify and pursue new business opportunities across weddings, corporate events, exhibitions and private functions.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry contacts and proactive outreach.
- Conduct highly personalized, storytelling-driven venue viewings that showcase the romance and prestige of the estate.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies and event partners.
- Prepare bespoke proposals, quotations and event packages.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to secure bookings.
- Assist with departmental marketing activities and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging market opportunities.
- Recommend new services, packages and revenue-generating initiatives
Event Planning & Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact from initial enquiry through to supplier planning meetings.
- Understand client objectives and recommend suitable event solutions.
- Coordinate planning timelines, schedules and event logistics.
- Manage the master estate diary seamlessly to ensure zero scheduling conflicts with film, corporate events and outdoor events.
- Prepare contracts, invoices, function sheets and event documentation.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, caterers and internal departments.
- Coordinate approved suppliers and third-party contractors.
- Conduct formal, meticulous handover meetings with the Operations Team once a client is contracted, ensuring every detail promised during the sales process is clearly communicated.
- For weddings, support couples throughout the planning process and coordinate supplier arrangements.
Event Delivery
- Support the operational delivery of weddings, film, corporate events if and when required.
- Open and close the venue and oversee event set-up and breakdown.
- Manage suppliers and vendors on-site.
- Ensure event timings are achieved and communicated effectively.
- Handle last-minute changes and problem-solve calmly under pressure.
- Act as a liaison between clients, suppliers and the wider Ragley Hall team.
- Help ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, bookings and sales activity.
- Track sales performance and pipeline opportunities.
- Prepare monthly sales reports for the Head of Events.
- Coordinate invoicing requirements with the Finance Team.
- Manage event documentation and filing systems.
- Assist with staffing rotas and event resource planning.
Health & Safety
- Support compliance with all health and safety procedures.
- Assist with risk assessments and operational planning.
- Ensure events are delivered in accordance with venue policies and legal requirements.
About You

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within weddings, events, hospitality or venue sales.
- Experience preparing event documentation and function sheets.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements within events.
- Knowledge of outdoor events and large-scale event operations.
