We are looking to recruit a experienced Cook to join our highly trained and caring team, within our well-presented care home, situated in Workington.
Full Time Role
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role involves the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provide residents with nutritious meals.
- To meet residents’ dietary requirements as necessary.
- To comply with all Health and Safety regulations including Food Hygiene and C.O.S.H.H. regulations and ensure compliance from all kitchen staff.
- To ensure all kitchen equipment is working at a safe and efficient level of functioning, reporting to Manager any shortfalls.
- To cater for ad hoc functions held within the home i.e. Home parties, resident birthday celebrations, etc.
- To be fully aware of all policies and procedures in the home
- Maintain cleanliness of all floors and surfaces.
The list of duties is not exhaustive, but outlines the main regular parts of the role. Other reasonable duties may be requested.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in a similar role.
- All applicants must be reliable and have strong communication skills.
- Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure which the expense will be met by the applicant. If you already have an Enhanced Disclosure dated within the last 3 months this is transferable and there will be no need to pay for another. The Employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.
