Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Packing Operative to join our warehouse team. This role involves ensuring products are accurately packed, loaded, and prepared for dispatch, supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and shipping & receiving processes. This is a paid position suitable for individuals with a proactive attitude and a commitment to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out production and packing duties in line with company procedures
- Sort, prepare, pack, and label products ready for dispatch
- Inspect items to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow work instructions and meet daily production targets
- Operate basic production equipment safely (after training)
- Complete paperwork and production records accurately
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area
- Assist with stock handling, moving materials, and general warehouse duties
- Report any damaged products, faults, or issues to supervisors
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and wear required PPE
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in production, packing, warehouse, or manufacturing is useful but not always essential
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and manual handling
- Good teamwork and communication skills
