Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks in accordance with health and safety standards
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure compliance with regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock supplies as needed to keep the workspace organised and prepared for service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen work is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards customers and colleagues
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
