We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Cleaner to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Support chefs with cooking and plating as needed, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and sanitising equipment.
- Organise and store kitchen supplies appropriately to ensure smooth operations.
- Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Support the movement of food and supplies within the kitchen and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables during service periods when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or serving roles enhances suitability for this position.
- Experience working in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting demonstrates ability to manage fast-paced environments efficiently.
