What You Will Do
- We have a fully equipped workshop with the latest technologies and access to regular manufacturer training to keep your knowledge and skills up to date.
- You will diagnose, repair and service a range of vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer and retailer guidelines, in a timely and efficient manner and to the correct standard.
- You will identify potential defects and worn components and report responsibly for customer authorisation.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, servicing, warranty, air conditioning, repairs, tyre rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks via electronic video health checks.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and within specified timeframes.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support a positive team environment.
- Through your skill and expertise of “fix right, first time”, you will deliver the best possible experience for our customers.
The role is Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm with an hour for lunch and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings on a rota 8.00am – 1.00pm
Who We're Looking For
The role will suit an experienced and fully qualified automotive technician with excellent fault-finding skills and experience working on a range of vehicles, although manufacturer training will be provided. You will be personable, hard-working, and reliable, with clear written and verbal communication skills. A team player, you will be looking to join a well-respected company where you’ll find a friendly and supportive working environment.
Ideally you will have:
- An NVQ level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in light vehicle maintenance and repair
- MOT Tester Licence, but not essential
- Own tools
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or a relevant automotive qualification.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and technical skills.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- A full driving licence
