Cargo Screener (Monday – Friday)
Job Type: Permanent
You MUST be able to provide 5 years references from previous employment/education, also written explanation for any gaps in employment which are over 28 days. Clean DBS check.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a very busy and fast paced environment. You will need to be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team.
The Individual
· Must have 5 years warehousing airfreight experience
· Must ensure correct security procedures are adhered to.
· Must have a “Can Do Attitude”, be presentable and polite.
· Must be good at listening and assimilating information and be flexible and open minded.
· Must be able to work beyond normal hours and do overtime when and if required.
· Must be competent in driving FLT, manual handling, loading & unloading vehicles.
· Must be able to locate & label freight
· Ensure vehicles meet deadlines
· Must have NXCT, COS, X-ray & ETD training
Desirable Skills:
· ADR Trained
· Good IT skills
· Dangerous Goods experience
· First aid at work
Duties would include, but not limited to:
· X-ray Screening/ETD Screening and Escorting FREDDS Screening.
· Manual Handling
· Organise airline transfer freight.
· Identify & label freight.
· liaising with operations and warehousing team s
· working to deadlines.
· Collating documents.
· Reporting to management.
· Checking Cargo Manifests
· Working to tight deadlines
· Administer Security Protocols as directed by the Security Manager
· Ensure that Health & Safety Protocols are adhered to
Working Hours:
· Monday – Friday 14:00 - 23:00
