We are looking for an Office Manager to join our nursery!
Duties:
- Administrative Support: Manage daily office operations, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling inquiries from parents, staff, and suppliers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of children’s enrolment, attendance, and personal details, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Financial Management: Handle invoicing, process payments from parents, track expenses, and assist with budgeting for nursery supplies and activities.
- Staff Coordination: Assist in scheduling staff shifts, managing leave requests, and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet child-to-staff ratios.
- Policy Compliance: Communicate and assist the Director in ensuring that the nursery adheres to local regulations, safeguarding policies, and health and safety standards, keeping documentation up to date for inspections.
- Parent Communication: Act as a point of contact for parents, providing updates on billing, events, or nursery policies, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Inventory Management: Order and track supplies such as stationery, cleaning materials, and educational resources, ensuring the nursery is well-stocked.
- Event Planning: Organise nursery events like parent meetings, open days, or celebrations, coordinating logistics and communication.
- Admissions Process: Manage the application and enrolment process for new children, including maintaining waiting lists and conducting tours for prospective families.
- Technology Oversight: Oversee the use of office equipment and nursery management software, troubleshooting minor issues or liaising with IT support where necessary.
- Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive information about children, families, and staff, ensuring all records are securely stored.
- Team Support: Assist the nursery manager with administrative tasks, prepare reports, and facilitate smooth communication between management and staff.
- Marketing: Assist in promoting the nursery by updating the website, managing social medial posts, and coordinating promotional events to attract new families and enhance community engagement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £20,000.00 per year
