We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator to join our team at our setting situated in the heart of Needham Market. Here at Jigsaw we are lucky to have a purpose built building with large garden.
We are looking for an early years educator to join our team for approx 12 1/4 hours per week to start from September with the potential of additional cover as and when required.
currently the hours are as follows:
Mon 8.45-3.30pm
tues 12-3.30pm
fri 12-3.30pm
* from Jan 2027 this will increase to also include a thursday afternoon 12-3.30pm
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
- Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for chidlren aged 18months through to school age.
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each child's individual needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and activities.
- Promote positive behavior and good manners among children.
- Ensure health and safety standards are consistently upheld.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the setting through feedback and innovation.
What Jigsaw is looking for from the successful candidate...
- FULL & RELEVANT Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification (e.g. NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- A passion for early childhood education and development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Up to date Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
- Up to date Safeguarding training
- up to date food hygiene (desirable)
- Driving license (preferred but not essential).
Your qualification MUST be full and relevant to work within early years, please be aware that this does not include any health and social care courses. If you do not hold a full and relevant childcare qualification we will be unable to consider your application.

Rates of pay:
level 2 qualified early years educator ~ £12.92 per hour
level 3 qualified early years educator ~ £13.43 per hour
