Job Summary
CPB Northwest Ltd are seeking a skilled Tractor Operator (HGV Category C ) to join our construction team in the Kendal area LA8. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles and specialised machinery to support our construction and logistical operations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, mechanical systems, and the ability to operate excavators when necessary. The ideal applicant will demonstrate safety consciousness, reliability, and proficiency in handling large vehicles and equipment.
Duties
- Safely operate Tractor/trailor Must hold (HGV Category C)
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle and attached equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate securing techniques, ensuring load stability during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to minimise risks on-site and during transportation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience
- Proven Tractor experience in commercial driving, preferably with HGV licences recognised in the UK.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards related to heavy vehicle operation and construction sites.

Pay: £14.25-£22.93 per hour
