Yr Hen Fecws Restaurant and B&B is a well-regarded independent restaurant and bed & breakfast in Porthmadog.
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to support the daily operation of our restaurant and deliver exceptional customer service standards.
This is a part time role of approximately 20 hours per week over 4 evenings.
The successful candidate will work closely with management to lead front-of-house operations, supervise team members, maintain service quality, and ensure guests receive an outstanding dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support front-of-house staff during service
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction at all times
- Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
- Support daily opening and closing procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering requirements
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company policies
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
- Assist management with achieving sales and operational targets
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Positive attitude with a customer-focused approach
Desirable Skills
- Experience using restaurant booking or POS systems
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Bar or beverage service experience
- Ability to motivate and develop team members
