Kitchen Assistant / ServerJob Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant / Server to join our team in Mayfair. This customer-facing role involves preparing and serving hot drinks, assisting with basic food preparation, serving clients, taking food and drink orders, and helping to keep the kitchen and client areas clean, organised, and welcoming. You will play an important part in delivering a warm, professional experience for every client.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffees and teas
- Welcome clients, take food and drink orders, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Assist with basic food preparation, including plating and simple kitchen tasks
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally
- Keep the kitchen, coffee station, and client areas clean, tidy, and well organised
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as required
- Restock food, beverages, crockery, and kitchen supplies throughout the day
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times
- Support the wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen and client refreshment service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred
- Confident making coffees and other hot drinks (barista experience is an advantage but not essential)
- Friendly, approachable, and professional with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Reliable, organised, and proactive with a strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekdays and occasional weekends if required
