We are seeking a reliable and experienced Groundworker/Dumper Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating dumper trucks and assisting with groundworks on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to various construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the worksite. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience in groundworks and plant operation.
Duties
- Safely operate dumper trucks to transport materials around the construction site
- Assist with ground preparation, including digging, levelling, and site clearance
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of plant equipment
- Support other groundworking tasks as required by the site supervisor
- Follow all safety protocols to minimise risks on-site
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate activities efficiently
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for dumper operation is essential
- Proven experience operating dumper trucks within a construction environment
- Knowledge of groundworks procedures and health & safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; however, the ability to operate plant machinery safely is required
