Duties
- Utilise experience in childcare and outdoor learning to create engaging, educational, and nature-based experiences for children.
- Plan, organise, and lead Forest School sessions that promote exploration, independence, resilience, and confidence.
- Coordinate and supervise educational outings, visits, and outdoor activities, ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate health and safety procedures for outdoor environments and off-site visits.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external providers to support positive learning experiences.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding children’s learning through child-led exploration, practical activities, and outdoor challenges.
- Support and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through meaningful outdoor and experiential learning opportunities.
- Organise and supervise activities such as woodland crafts, nature walks, wildlife exploration, gardening, den building, and environmental projects.
- Encourage children to develop social skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a connection with the natural environment.
- Maintain outdoor learning resources, equipment, and learning spaces to ensure they remain safe, stimulating, and well-organised.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using observations to inform future planning and support individual development.
- Promote inclusive practice, ensuring all children can participate fully in Forest School sessions and outings regardless of ability or background.
Essentials skills and qualifications
- Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Forest School Qualification
- Paediatric First Aid
- Basic Safeguarding

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
