Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to various locations whilst maintaining excellent customer service, as well as supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, possess strong organisational skills, and be capable of heavy lifting. Duties
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods accurately and on time to customers and clients across designated routes
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring items are handled with care and securely stored
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Support warehouse activities such as stock organisation, inventory checks, and order fulfilment
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehousing
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is highly desirable
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles safely and efficiently
- Experience in warehouse operations, including heavy lifting and stock management
- Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with customers and team members
- Physically fit to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly and stand for extended periods
- Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routes as required
