Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to oversee the maintenance and general upkeep of our premises. The ideal candidate will ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all visitors and staff. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cleaning and sanitisation of communal areas and outdoor spaces
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, arranging replenishments when necessary
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors
- Respond promptly to any maintenance issues or emergencies that arise during shifts
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections
- Assist with setting up rooms or facilities for meetings, events, or other functions
- Report any damages or hazards immediately to management for prompt action
Experience
- Previous experience in facilities management, cleaning, or maintenance roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to operate basic cleaning machinery and tools safely
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and management
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to premises upkeep
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Applicants should be physically fit as the job can be labour intensive
