Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to oversee and manage landscape work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both hard and soft landscaping with the ability to build, maintain, and irrigate gardens effectively. This role requires a full UK driving licence, mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using both power and hand tools to ensure the highest quality of work is delivered.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Lead a team, providing training and support in the use of power tools, machinery and hand tools.
- Carry out handling and planting of mature trees, shrubs, climbers and herbaceous stock, supplied from our nurseries.
- Layout and planting of new borders.
- Installation of lawns, fencing, patios, paths and small water features.
- Install drip irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of plants.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered during projects.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscaping is essential.
- Full UK driving licence. Ideally with experience to tow trailers, in order to transport our own machinery.
- Vocational qualifications associated with landscaping useful.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and machinery effectively.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques for efficient water management.
- Ability to dig, plant, prune, and build garden features using appropriate methods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the capability to motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members alike.
