We are looking for an experienced carpet fitter to join our growing company working full time on contracts within the housing refurbishment industry. The role involves covering contracts across various areas, primarily within the central belt of Scotland.
This is a PAYE position, and we seek to employ a skilled domestic carpet fitter to work on contracts within occupied properties. While previous experience in this sector is preferred, it is not essential. However, the candidate must have relevant experience in all aspects of the carpet/flooring profession and have experience in a customer-facing role.
The selected individual will initially work alongside one of our experienced fitters and be expected to perform as part of the team but also on there own initiative as over time, you will be required to work independently, using your own initiative. A valid driving licence and reliable transport (car) are required, as the job involves travelling to different locations, including early starts. Responsibilities
- Install carpet / vinyl using the appropriate hand tools ensuring a secure and professional finish.
- Read and follow individual project requirements.
- Openly be able to communicate with tenants with regards to informing them of the job being undertaken.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals onsite to complete projects on time.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices throughout the installation process.
