Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated night shift Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and equipment maintenance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced logistics environment, contributing to the efficient movement of goods and inventory management. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to work in a physically active role with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Organise stock storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility
- Support inventory counts and cycle checks as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting safely
- Valid forklift licence or experience operating forklifts is necessary
- Prior warehouse experience demonstrating familiarity with shipping & receiving processes
- Good understanding of basic maths for inventory counting and measurements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness suitable for standing for long periods and manual handling tasks
