Experienced Laser Operator Wanted – Join a Growing Manufacturing Team

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Laser Operator to join our skilled team at our factory in Netherton, Dudley.

The Role
You will operate our state-of-the-art Amada Regius 6kW Fibre Laser with automated tower system, producing precision sheet metal components for a variety of industries and projects.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can work efficiently to deadlines, and takes ownership of producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and operating our advanced Amada fibre laser machinery
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Organising and stacking work correctly for customers or internal departments
- Ensuring all jobs are accompanied by accurate paperwork
- Carrying out quality checks on your own work as standard
- Using measuring equipment including verniers and protractors
- Working efficiently to production schedules and deadlines
- Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards
- Some manual handling and lifting
- Overtime when required
What We’re Looking For
Experience within sheet metal manufacturing and laser operation is essential.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery
- A sheet metal manufacturing background
- Experience with Amada laser machinery (preferred but not essential)
- The ability to confidently read engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- A proactive, reliable approach to work
- Good organisation skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
