Hybrid Electrical Solutions is growing, and we're looking for an experienced engineer to join our dedicated maintenance team and help deliver high-quality planned maintenance across critical tunnel and transport infrastructure assets.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance activities across tunnel and transport infrastructure sites. You will work within a dedicated team, helping to ensure that assets remain compliant, operational, and maintained to the highest standard.
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Site-based, Multiple sites across London and within the Southern Area
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities on tunnel and transport infrastructure assets within scheduled closure windows
- Work on LV Distribution, Pumps, Supply and Extract Fans, Ventilation Dampers, Variable Speed Drives, and Motors
- Maintain Emergency Signage (Wayfinder) Systems, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and LED Control Systems
- Conduct thorough inspections and accurately report identified remedial works
- Support the separation of project and maintenance functions within the engineering team
- Work flexibly, including nights as required (premium pay applies)
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Role Requirements
- Fully qualified / JIB approved Electrician
- LED Tunnel and Ancillary Lighting experience
- 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Inspection & Testing (2394/2395 or equivalent)
- Experience in transport infrastructure or a similar environment.
- This role requires participation in a 24-hour on-call rota, shared across the engineering team on a week-on, week-off basis. When on call, you will be the first point of contact for out-of-hours emergency attendance. Participation in the callout rota is a requirement of this role and will be discussed fully at interview.
