Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their developmental needs. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children whilst maintaining high standards of childcare and organisational efficiency. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for leading a team of staff, liaising with parents, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality childcare provision
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to foster a positive team environment
- Develop and implement educational programmes aligned with early childhood development principles
- Maintain compliance with local regulations and safeguarding policies
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children's progress
- Manage administrative tasks including staffing rotas, budgeting, and record keeping
- Organise staff training sessions to promote professional development
- Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met or exceeded
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursery services and environment
- Support children’s emotional, social, and educational growth through engaging activities
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a nursery
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
- Extensive knowledge of early years education and childcare regulations
- Experience working directly with children, demonstrating patience and understanding
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Recognised qualification in early years at a minimum level 3
- Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £35,006.40 per year
