We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate qualified dental nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care, and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Providing excellent patient care by explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort
- Maintaining sterilisation and cleanliness of dental instruments and treatment areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and updating treatment notes as required
- Preparing the treatment room before appointments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use
- Supporting patients with post-treatment advice and instructions
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols at all times
- Organising appointments and managing the flow of patients efficiently
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within dental setting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and professionalism
