This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career in network infrastructure, looking to gain hands-on experience and develop new skills in a supportive environment.
Role Overview:
As a Junior Data Engineer, you’ll assist in data cabling, cabinet and network infrastructure installation and alterations, audio-visual installations and various forms of containment installation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of structured data cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6a, fibre optics)
· Support senior engineers in running cables, terminating connections, and setting up network infrastructure
· Ensure all work complies with industry standards and health & safety regulations
· Learn to troubleshoot and resolve cabling faults under supervision
· Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle standards
What We’re Looking For (E = essential D = Desirable):
· Basic understanding of data cabling (D)
· Willingness to learn and develop technical skills on the job (E)
· Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic (E)
· Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions (E)
· Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (D)
· CSCS/ECS card (D)
