Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care during overnight hours in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting residents' wellbeing, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a comfortable environment throughout the night. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing throughout the night, responding promptly to their needs and requests
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as toileting, mobility, and comfort measures
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to ensure personalised support is provided
- Maintain accurate records of any incidents or observations during the shift
- Ensure the safety and security of residents by conducting regular checks and patrols around the premises
- Support with light domestic duties to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards within the care environment
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless handovers and continuity of care
- Report any concerns or issues to senior staff promptly and accurately
Skills
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise with residents, families, and team members
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently during overnight shifts
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in emergency situations
Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
