We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Staff to join a specialist school supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, SEMH needs, and learning difficulties.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential in a positive, structured, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Support pupils in accessing learning activities and the wider curriculum.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Assist with communication and social development.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual learning plans and EHCP targets.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Support pupils with personal care where required.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in education, care, youth work, or support settings.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
