Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bank Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in accordance with established recipes and health and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals following standard recipes and guidelines
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in meal planning and portion control to meet nutritional and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during busy periods
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and ingredients
- Support the training of new staff members as required
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques, food presentation, and serving procedures
- Prior experience in a kitchen role that involves working efficiently under pressure is advantageous
