At Cromwood Housing we provide vital housing services to save the lives of people who are homeless, sleeping rough, seeking asylum and fleeing domestic abuse. Our purpose is to remain one of the leading providers of social housing to the local authorities in London and Greater Manchester.
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Weekend Night Housing Officer to oversee a 26-bed unit in Wigan.
Full training will be given to the successful candidate to carry out this role and ongoing training will also be provided
Location: Wigan
Contract type: Part time, permanent
Contracted hours: 22 per week
Salary: £15,169 per annum (£13.26 per hour)
Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 8pm-8am, with a 1 hour lunch break

The Night Housing Officer role involves:
- Welcoming and inducting new residents and explaining the rules and regulations of the unit
- Being the point of contact for any queries the residents may have
- Ensuring the safeguarding of the residents is to a required standard
- Ensuring rules and regulations are being followed by residents to ensure these are safe places for all the people to reside in
- Following reporting procedures to both Cromwood and the Local Authority
- Dealing with behavioural issues in the form of reporting and/or liaising with emergency services
- Ensuring the properties are maintained according to Health and Safety guidelines and company procedures
- Liaising with our maintenance team to rectify any faults within the properties to ensure they stay compliant.
Requirements for the Night Housing Officer role:
- Previous experience in adult social care is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilient nature. with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- The ability to develop professional relationships with a wide range of people
- Self-motivated, organised and able to manage time effectively
- A Standard DBS check will be required (paid for by Cromwood)
