We are seeking a talented and passionate kitchen assistant to join our culinary team. As a kitchen assistant , you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality in our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain high standards of presentation for all dishes served
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences
