Job Title: Healthcare Assistant
Location: Leeds and surrounding areas
Salary: £13.50 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Permanent, Bank
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our growing team delivering high-quality palliative and end-of-life care within clients' own homes.
You will support individuals with complex health needs, helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and independence while remaining in familiar surroundings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and repositioning
- Support clients with nutrition and hydration
- Assist with continence care and stoma care (following training)
- Observe and report changes in health and wellbeing
- Provide emotional support to clients and their families
- Maintain accurate care records
- Work collaboratively with Community Nurses, Hospices, GPs, and other healthcare professionals
What We're Looking For
- Previous care experience preferred
- Compassionate and caring nature
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability including weekends
Desirable
- Experience in palliative or end-of-life care
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Moving and Handling training
