Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to transport goods to designated destinations, following assigned routes.
- Load and unload items carefully, handling materials safely and performing heavy lifting as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, mileage, and any necessary documentation.
- Communicate professionally with team members and customers, keeping everyone informed about delivery schedules and addressing any issues.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and promptly report maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while driving.
- Assist with basic vehicle upkeep when not on the road, including checking fluids, replacing bulbs, and preparing vehicles for scheduled services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid UK manual driving license with a clean driving record (no points).
- Physical ability to perform tasks that include heavy lifting.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with the logistics team and customers.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as our operations run 24/7.
- Must meet company vehicle insurance requirements for this role.
