Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various site activities, supporting construction and landscaping projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks. Duties
- Assisting with site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment as required
- Digging trenches, foundations, or holes using hand tools or machinery under supervision
- Assisting with the installation of fencing, paving, or landscaping features
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are used safely and stored correctly after use
- Reporting any safety hazards or issues to supervisors promptly
Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction sites and safety procedures is advantageous
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks on-site
- Valid UK driving licence is essential
- Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided
