On-Street Operative (Van Driver) – Edinburgh
Shift Pattern Available:
- Mon-Thurs | 7.00pm-4:00am (30-minute unpaid break)
- Thurs-Sun | 7.00pm-4:00am (30-minute unpaid break)
Permanent 4 night/week
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on On-Street Operative to support the delivery of the Edinburgh Bike Hire Scheme in partnership with Voi. This is a predominantly field-based role, working closely alongside the on-street team using a van to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
You will support the Hub Manager and help lead frontline operational activities while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and service delivery across the scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Work actively in the field using vans and cargo bikes
- Carry out battery swapping and vehicle tasks ensuring availability across the scheme
- Support team productivity and operational performance
- Use apps and systems to plan and carry out your workload
- Help maintain high standards of vehicle presentation and service reliability
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Van experience
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good knowledge of the Central Edinburgh area
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
