HGV Technician – Droitwich, Worcester
Pay: £18 - 20 per hour. Overtime at 1.5x hourly rate.
Hours: Earlies & Late Shifts
Shifts: Week 1: 8:00am - 4:30pm | Week 2: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
Contract: Permanent
Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds) or have completed an engineering apprenticeship.
Overview
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a major player in the commercial vehicle market in Droitwich. This role offers the chance to work on brand-new equipment and help set up new workshop processes, with no weekend work required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults, including roadside assistance
- Work on brand-new equipment and vehicles up to 5 years old
- Help set up new processes within the workshop
- Identify possible equipment and operational improvements
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are followed
What You'll Need
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or engineering apprenticeship
- Proven commercial vehicle experience
- Current driving licence (LGV/HGV licence preferred)
- ADR certification (advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
