We are seeking a talented and motivated Self Employed Hair Stylist to rent a chair and join our newly refurbished hair salon . This role offers the flexibility of working independently while providing exceptional hair styling services to clients. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairstyling and delivering outstanding customer experiences. As a self-employed professional, you will have the opportunity to manage your own schedule and build your client base within a supportive environment.
Duties
- Providing a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, colours, blow-dries, and specialised treatments
- Managing client consultations to understand their needs and recommend suitable styles or treatments
- Upselling products and services to maximise client experience and business growth
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming salon environment in line with health and safety standards
- Mentoring junior staff or apprentices when required, sharing expertise and best practices
- Handling front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and managing client records
- Building strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and communication skills
Skills
- Proven experience in hairstyling, barbering
- Strong store management skills with the ability to organise appointments efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Effective communication skills to engage with clients and team members confidently
- Ability to upsell products and services tactfully to enhance client satisfaction and business revenue
- Mentoring skills to support junior staff or apprentices in their development
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service
