Elixis is an independent, design-led brunch and all-day dining restaurant in the heart of South Kensington. We are passionate about hospitality, quality and creating memorable guest experiences. Our ambition is simple: to become one of London's best brunch destinations.
We are looking for an experienced Front of House team member and Speciality Barista to join our close-knit team.
This is not a role for someone who wants to stand behind a coffee machine waiting for customers to come to them. We are looking for someone proactive, energetic and highly organised who takes genuine pride in their work and enjoys delivering exceptional hospitality.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing high-quality speciality coffee consistently and efficiently
- Greeting and engaging with guests in a warm and professional manner
- Taking orders accurately using handheld ordering devices
- Running food and drinks during busy services
- Managing multiple priorities at once while maintaining attention to detail
- Checking in with customers throughout their visit
- Gathering guest feedback and helping to create memorable experiences
- Encouraging happy customers to leave Google reviews
- Maintaining clean and organised coffee and service stations
- Wiping tables promptly and ensuring the restaurant always looks presentable
- Regularly checking bathrooms and ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained
- Completing opening and closing procedures thoroughly and consistently
- Supporting teammates wherever needed to ensure smooth service
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous front-of-house and speciality coffee experience
- Can produce excellent coffee quickly and consistently
- Has exceptionally high standards for cleanliness and presentation
- Is able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Can confidently manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Is proactive and notices problems before they become issues
- Is solutions-oriented and enjoys solving problems
- Follows direction well and works effectively as part of a team
- Builds genuine rapport with customers and regulars
- Takes ownership of their section and responsibilities
- Is reliable, punctual and professional
- Is available to work weekends
