HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Mildenhall, Bury St Edmundswith travel nationwide (not including Northern Island)
Hours: 40 hours per week + Overtime depending on business needs
Salary: £38,833.60 per annum (Overtime paid at 1.5x)
Duration: Permanent
Breaks: Paid Breaks, breaks are to be taken in line with driving regulations
Overnight stays: As required, depending on routes and needs of business, you will need to be flexible as you can be out any night of the week (not including Friday night or weekends) and may be 2-3 times per week. £40 subsistence is paid per night out (paid directly through payroll)

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver with a minimum 3 years’ experience who is open minded and happy to carry out additional yard duties when not out on the road. You will have no more than 3 penalty points, happy with over night stays and flexible with your start and finish time.

Job Duties:
· Driving an articulated flatbed or rigid flatbed lorry delivering to customers nationwide
· Safely loading/unloading products in line with company procedures using forklift or staddle carrier ensuring any concerns regarding product quality is reported prior.
· Carry out vehicle checks before starting any journey. Reporting any defects are reported
· Ensure POD’s are completed at the time of delivery
· Work in line within legal parameters of driver hours and working time directive legislation, being fully compliant with tachograph and break requirements
· Assisting in “Yard Days” preparing and packaging products, ensuring stock checks are completed within the yard and good housekeeping.
What we are looking for:
· HGV Class 1 experience essential with no more than 3 penalty points
· Previous experience with flatbed trailers and strapping loads desirable
· Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment desirable
· Flexibility with over night stays along with start and finish times
· Counterbalance Forklift License desirable
· Strong communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
