Main Purpose of Job:
Providing Person Centred care to clients in supporting living accomodation
Main Tasks of Job:
The purpose of the role is to assist in providing personal centred care for adults and families in their supported living , including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene. Support clients in toileting and incontinence care. Administer prescribed medications as per care plans.
2. Daily Living Assistance: Help clients with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a balanced diet. Support clients in mobility, transfers, and exercises prescribed by healthcare professionals. Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
3. Emotional and Social Support: Provide companionship and engage in conversations with clients. Facilitate recreational activities and hobbies that align with the clients' interests. Offer emotional support and a comforting presence, especially for end-of-life clients
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided. Communicate effectively with the care team, including nurses, supervisors, and family members.
5. End-of-Life Care: Provide specialized care for clients nearing the end of life with empathy and sensitivity. Collaborate with hospice and palliative care teams to ensure the highest quality of life for clients.
Requirement:
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Nurse Aide Certificate
- UKVI Approved English Proficiency Tests
- Previous experience in care work, preferably with adults, the elderly, or end-of-life clients. Certification in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualifications.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and confidentiality. Skills and Attributes:
- Compassionate and empathetic nature. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team. Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
