We are currently looking for a part-time Activity Assistant for our Care Homes in Bexhill on Sea
* This is a part time role for between 16-24hrs per week, and will include a Saturday shift each week.
Coast Care Homes Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and caring Activity Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is all about bringing joy, purpose and stimulation to our residents, including those with complex needs, by offering engaging and meaningful activities that support emotional, social and physical wellbeing.
You will plan and deliver enjoyable and person centred activities that reflect the unique interests, abilities and wishes of each resident. This may include group sessions, one to one time, gentle exercise, sensory activities, crafts, music, games or community involvement. The goal is to help our residents feel valued, involved, and connected, while promoting confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.
We are looking for people who are warm, positive, creative, and confident in encouraging residents to join in, especially those who may be reluctant or have complex needs. You will need to be organised, engaging, patient and able to build trusting relationships with residents, colleagues and families. Experience in a care setting is helpful but a caring nature, good energy and a genuine passion for improving quality of life are more important.
