NQV UK LTD is an international wholesale business of vegetables and fruits, with operations in 50+ countries. We are currently looking for a reliable Van Delivery Driver to join our team at the New Smithfield Market, Manchester, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to deliver goods to designated locations within the scheduled timeframe
- Load and unload items, ensuring secure placement during transit
- Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after shifts, reporting any issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting and organising stock
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Strong driving skills with knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations
- Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, maintaining proper safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently and accurately
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
