Deputy Leader Position Available!
Little Acorns Cross Community Playgroup is seeking a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic Deputy Leader to join our dedicated team. We are committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can grow and thrive. (Temporary position with the potential of becoming permanent, 26. 5 hours per week) Closing Date Monday 1st June 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Playgroup Leader in the day-to-day running of the playgroup.
- Assist in planning and delivering a creative and engaging early years curriculum.
- Ensure a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider community.
- Take on leadership duties in the absence of the Playgroup Leader.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum Level 5 qualification (or in the process of completing) in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years' experience working in an early years setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for early childhood development.
- Child Protection training.
Desirable:
- First Aid training.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Food Hygiene certificate
