Ashtead Technology are looking for a Regional Finance Manager to join our team in Westhill. Working closely with the Regional Manager, you'll play a key part in commercial and financial decision-making, providing robust analysis and helping deliver outstanding business performance.
This position combines financial management, business partnering, reporting, forecasting, and operational support within a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partnering with regional leadership to provide financial and commercial insight that supports decision-making, drives performance, and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and financial performance reviews, providing clear analysis and commentary to key stakeholders.
- Managing regional cash flow and working capital performance, including debtor management, payment approvals, inventory controls, and capital expenditure reporting.
- Supporting commercial activity through financial input into bids, tenders, business cases, and investment decisions.
- Ensuring robust financial governance through balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting support, payroll review, and compliance with tax and audit requirements.
- Building strong relationships with operational teams, group finance, and external advisors to support the delivery of regional and group objectives.
- Undertaking ad hoc analysis and projects to support the Regional Manager, Group Finance Director, and wider business as required.
What experience you'll bring:
- Degree qualified, professionally qualified, or qualified by relevant finance experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, professional approach to your work.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and provide meaningful insights.
- Excellent IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, addiional knowledge of NetSuite would be beneficial
- Experience of working within a commercially focused finance environment and partnering with operational stakeholders.
