Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Prepare fresh ingredients including cutting vegetables, marinating and preparing sauces and spice mixes.
- Follow our recipes and ensure consistent taste, spice levels, and portion sizes.
- Prepare a wide range of dishes including curries, biryanis, balti dishes and chef’s specials.
- Ensure all food is freshly prepared and served within required timeframes.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in line with food safety regulations.
- Assist with menu planning and other kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and consistent food quality.
- Monitor stocks and ensure efficient use of ingredients and kitchen resources.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, and presentation techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Sound understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs.
