Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Furniture Refurbishment Technician to join our refurbishment and rework team. This role is ideal for someone hands-on who takes pride in restoring furniture to a high standard, ensuring products are safe, presentable, and ready for customer use or resale.
Key Responsibilities
- Refurbish, repair, and restore furniture including sofas, beds.
- Replace damaged components (legs, handles, hinges, slats, fixings, etc.)
- Assess returned or damaged items and determine repair requirements
- Ensure all refurbished items meet quality, safety, and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Accurately record completed repairs and materials used
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in furniture repair, refurbishment, upholstery, carpentry, or similar trade
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Practical problem-solver with a “can-do” attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable handling furniture items
Desirable (but not essential)
- Upholstery or carpentry qualification
- Experience working with returned goods or rework operations
- Knowledge of health & safety in workshop environments
