Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. **You must be over 25**The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients, maintaining excellent customer service standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the efficient distribution of Fencing and Timber products across various locations. Candidates should possess a valid driving licence and experience in commercial driving, with a preference for those familiar with flatbed deliveries. Items can be heavy, so physical strength is a must!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring the safety of cargo during transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.
- Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a commercial setting.
- Familiarity with flatbed vehicles and handling various types of cargo.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or traditional maps efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and documentation. This position is ideal for individuals who are organised, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional service while adhering to safety standards.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
