OLMS Accountants is a growing practice based in the Northwest. Due to an increasing client portfolio, we are looking for an experienced accountant to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a hands-on role with real variety. You will manage your own portfolio of clients across a range of sectors with direct responsibility from day one. As part of a small, close-knit team, a can-do attitude and willingness to get involved beyond the job description is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
- Corporation tax returns and self assessment for individuals, sole traders, and directors
- VAT returns, including clients with more complex VAT positions
- Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and management accounts where required
- Preparation of monthly payroll for clients
- Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledgers, bank accounts, and credit card expenses
- Direct client contact and relationship management
ABOUT YOU
- Solid practice background, ideally 3 or more years in a UK accountancy firm
- Comfortable preparing statutory accounts from trial balance stage
- Proficient in Xero or QuickBooks Online
- AAT qualified preferred, though part-qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience will also be considered
- Organised, accurate, and detail-oriented
- Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
