Production Manager

As a rapidly growing company, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small but growing team of factory staff, schedule production, ensure quality standards are met and assist with the implementation of a new MRP system. The role requires strong leadership, planning and communication skills as well as the ability to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervising daily workshop operations, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
· Lead and manage the end-to-end planning process, working closely with purchasing and supply chain teams to create and communicate short- and long-term production schedules.
· Distribute Works Orders and process Works Orders Receipts to ensure accurate tracking of production.
· Creation of routing cards, including processing of new products into the MRP system.
· Ensure smooth and continuous production operations across the factory, proactively resolving bottlenecks and operational issues.
· Ensure workshop cleanliness, compliance with Health & Safety, and adherence to all company and legal standards.
· Streamline production and planning processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
· Coordinate with subcontractors for outsourced processes.
· Monitor current and develop new Quality Control processes.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams.
· Assist with the implementation of a new MRP system.
· Motivate, coach, and lead shopfloor teams to achieve business goals.
Skills/Experience:
· Proficient in MRP systems and confident using IT for planning, reporting, and analysis.
· Strong working knowledge of fabrication machinery.
· Proven experience in planning work orders and achieving on-time delivery.
· Experience managing subcontractors.
· Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Positive, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in business growth and innovation.

Pay: £29,872.37-£35,000.00 per year
